Against the Ordinary
Nonconformity · Identity · Subculture
Every culture develops a uniform, even when it claims to reject one. The same gestures circulate, the same references are repeated, and rebellion becomes recognisable enough to be reproduced.
Against the Ordinary occupies the space between belonging and refusal. Shot in overlooked urban locations, improvised gathering places, and the margins of the familiar, the campaign borrows the raw visual language of underground publications, late-night encounters, and images made without permission. Framing is instinctive. Flash is direct. Composition occasionally resists convention.
The people and places are never arranged into a single definition of outsider culture. Their differences matter more than their similarities.
The designs appear as personal signatures rather than declarations. There is no uniform to follow here, no prescribed way to stand apart. Only the possibility of doing so on your own terms.
